As part of a massive insurance quote process to find the best price for my new insurer, I gave Ford's insurance program a shot to see what they would give me.
I was made aware of Ford's insurance program because I am a Ford owner and they had sent me literature encouraging me to join. I went through their relatively quick insurance quote process but was stunned by the price it bounced back to me: It was twice as much as what I was looking to pay!
I'm not sure why that is, but I felt like my ownership of a Ford had little benefit in the price quote they gave me.
However, from what I saw, I did like their roadside service program they offered and I was especially attracted to the fact they would ensure that genuine Ford parts would be put on my car in the event of an accident.
Nonetheless, the price was way too high for me to consider giving them my business. I also was unsure if they had a local office that I could go to if I needed to speak to a live insurance agent.
However, I can give positive marks to their website quote process and if you are a Ford owner I certainly would give them a shot if you want genuine Ford parts installed on your car. Again, that was an attractive bargaining chip to me and it should be to you. Who knows what another insurer would put on your car, right?
