If I can give anyone advice on the Joy Mangano Forever Fragrant Odor-Eliminating Scented Spheres it would be "Don't Bother!
According to Joy Mangano, this was a revolutionary new product that would create freshness in my home and eliminate odors for up to two years. Not in my lifetime!!
For $24.95 I received 5 scented spheres ranging in size from: (1) 3" sphere, (2) 2-3/4" spheres and (2) 2-3/8" spheres. Also included was a glass tray to display them on. I had a choice of 11 fragrances (each in a different color), of which I chose the white Fresh Linen.
When I first opened the package the smell was wonderful, just like fresh clean laundry. I put the spheres out on the glass dish in my dining room and thought what a great concept, no air fresheners to buy for two years! I had the option of displaying the spheres all together or dividing them up into other rooms, a linen closet, bathroom cupboard, or just tucked behind something on a shelf.
My Forever Fragrant lasted not even two weeks with all the spheres together on the dish. I debated about returning them to HSN but decided to try them in smaller areas hoping it would work better. No such luck! The only thing that smells really good is the bag they came in and it still does, to this day, six months later.
According to Joy Mangano, the fragrance used in these plastic spheres is derived from plant sources and wood pulp. This weekend, Joy was on HSN and she was selling this same concept, but as reeds in a small jar container. Both of these products have the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, which is hard to believe from all the complaints I've found online since buying this product.
Lastly, find another more useful purpose for the glass dish that comes with the Forever (Not Ever) Fragrant Spheres. Each time someone walked by and bumped the table the spheres would go flying off the dish and I got tired of rearranging them. I kept them for a while tucked into a large decorative bird's nest I have (see picture), but since there was no lingering fresh scent, that didn't last long.
I hardly ever write a bad review on a product but HSN really needs to test what they sell, even if it takes 2 years! This was a wonderful concept if only it had performed as advertised.
