My husband and I love camping. This is one of our favorite things to do together so when the opportunity came up to go to Fort Stephens Camp Site we immediately agreed to go. We went with my sister, my niece, nephew, and brother in law. There was so much to do. Both kids had a blast. The campground is located about 15 miles from Seaside, 2 miles to the beach, and about 58 miles from the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

As I said above, Fort Stephens has many things for adults and children to do including a lake to fish and boat on. The lake was awesome. The lake is called Coffenbury Lake. They had picnic tables to sit on by the edge of the lake for fishing or just to have a nice picnic. The fishing was incredible (even though we didn't catch anything). There was a family who caught at least 5-6 fish in a matter of 1 hour.

The camp site also had a sand box for the kids to play in (which was conveniently located by our camp site). They also had a place for us to pitch a net for volleyball, bad mitten, horseshoes, as well as other physical games.

Fort Stephens also has tourist spots like the Military Museum.

We had a great time at this campsite and I would recommend that if you live in Oregon or are visiting and want to go camping, visit Fort Stephens. They also have day camping if you just want to stay for the day.
