Natasha Rizopoulos guides you through a short (the practice session is about 20 minutes or so) yoga session that focuses on some basic postures and sun salutations. The DVD also features an option to view it with medical commentary (I've never utilized that feature), an in-depth instructional demonstration (which includes options for modifications of the poses for the beginning practitioner), and a segment with information about the instructor. Total DVD runtime is 110 minutes, but the practice session is approximately 20 minutes. The demonstration is very helpful for perfecting your form and syncing your breath with the movements. This DVD is suitable for beginners or practitioners who want to perfect some of the basic poses (downward facing dog, upward facing dog, triangle pose, plank pose, etc.). The instructor gives very clear, easy-to-follow instructions. This would be great for anyone who has never taken a yoga class but would like to get an idea of what it's like.
