I bought these Fruit of The Loom Racer back sports bras because it’s hot here in California during the summer and I like to run around the house in them! They are also just plain comfortable and if you have the racer back tank tops, it’s nice NOT having your bra straps showing!
I was shopping at Wal-mart and saw these. They were on a hanger and being sold 3 for $9.88. Now I will tell you that these are NOT made out of sturdy material. This is NOT your top of the line Sports bra. I would not recommend these if you plan on working out in them! Maybe if you have a small cup size they might be ok…but as for myself, I wear a DD. So I didn’t get these to work out in. These are just everyday comfortable wear for me, and for the price I figured why not!
This sport bra has a soft covered elastic bottom band. I find this comfortable enough.
The front is 2 ply cotton Lycra spandex for coverage and support. As I have said before, if you wear a larger cup size...this doesn’t give you much support! Enough to be comfortable and not jiggle every where…but don’t plan on doing aerobics in this! This also has NO wire in it! The fabric pretty much feels like a soft, slightly stretchy T-shirt. No itching, no crawling. It’s comfortable. The fabric does tend to stretch and get a little looser if you wear it all day (or longer and are bigger) but after a wash it shrinks back up. I just wash these in cold water and throw them in the dryer on low.
This bra has no hooks, no zippers...you put it on like you would a tank top or shirt. I know that can be a pain sometimes but this one is not to bad!
These have no tag sticking out of them; the tag information is printed on the fabric inside of the bra. I really like that! I hate dealing with that irritating tag that itches you!
The Straps on this racer back are very thin (spaghetti strap thin)….I actually find them comfortable. The only problem I find is that the straps are NOT adjustable. This is a problem for me because I have a DD cup size, but small/short shoulders. I think this would “support” better (or at least I would feel like it does) if I could shorten the straps just a tad!
One other thing about the straps/design of this sports bra…there is a small plastic ring that connects the straps to the main/front of the bra. These cause no discomfort however I do question the durability. Then again, these were 3 for $9.88…I can’t complain too much now can I? One of the nice things about the racer back style is that the straps stay firmly in place! I find that these work great under a racer back tank, or whatever you want wear them under! I spend a lot of time at home so I prefer to wear these kinds of comfortable under garments.
These come in packs of 3, they are available in all kinds of different colors and the sizes that I saw available were 32, 34, 36, 38, 40. There may be more but, Wal-Marts lingerie section is always such a mess! (At least everyone I’ve ever been in)
For a low priced, comfortable racer back sports bra for daily wear, I think these are a pretty good deal! I am satisfied enough with them.
