I usually buy all of my kids' clothing at either Kohl's, Target, or the outlet mall. I was shopping at Walmart a while ago and noticed some very nice children's clothing. They had a huge variety of shirts and knit pants.
I was looking for some knit/fleece type pant for my 3-year-old son to lounge around in. The pants came in numerous colors and I ended up buying 4 pairs. The pants were only $4.99 each and they were very well made.
This summer when my baby boy was quickly outgrowing all of his hand-me-down summer clothes, I ran to Walmart to buy some t-shirts. Once again, I bought the Garanimals brand. They had about 14 t-shirt designs. The t-shirts were only $3.99 and I bought around 10 shirts.
I have to be honest in saying that I wasn't very confident that clothing from Walmart was going to be long-lasting or hold up well in the laundry - especially when I only paid $4.99. I'm happy to have been proven wrong. The Garanimals clothes have held up through numerous washings. They also held up through a baby that army crawled across the blacktop driveway on more than one occassion.
If you are looking for cheap but well made and durable clothing, look no further than the Garanimal brand at Walmart.
