To me, this Garfield Celebrations DVD is one of the most special set of episodes ever put together for Garfield fans. When I first saw this DVD was available I had to put it on my Christmas list. For those who do not know, Garfield is a hilarious cat who loves to eat. His human man is named John. John also has a cute little dog, Odie.

There are three episodes in this Garfield DVD collection. They include Garfield's Halloween Adventure, Garfield's Thanksgiving, and a Garfield's Christmas Special. I just take this DVD out at Halloween and keep it out where I can see it til the Christmas season. Everyone in my family loves this collection.

All these episodes are amazing, but the reason I just had to have this DVD is because of Garfield's Halloween Adventure. I had not seen this episode since I was little. For some reason, they stopped showing it on TV after a certain time. I never forgot it, though, and was so excited at the thought I would finally see it again.

All these episodes were made over fifteen years ago, but they still hold their charm today. It helps that I'm a cat lover whose favorite holiday is Halloween, but all three stories on this DVD are awesome.

In the Halloween episode Garfield and Odie go on a Halloween adventure dressed up like priates. I love pirates! This episode has the memorable candy line that everyone in my family still says every Halloween. No Halloween show is complete without a haunted house, ghosts, and spooky characters, but to me, no Halloween is complete without Garfield's Halloween antics.

Thanksgiving finds bachelor John trying to convince Garfield's vet, who he has a crush on, to come to Thanksgiving dinner. John's intentions were good, but he never cooked a Thanksgiving dinner before in his life. I love how Garfield saves the day for John, even though he is not thrilled with this vet, by inviting a surprise guest over for Thanksgiving.

For Christmas, John, Garfield, and Odie travel away from Garfield's comfy little home to the farm where John grew up. It was fun meeting John's family and getting a glimpse into John's childhood and Christmases-past on the farm. Even Grandma shows up for a very heartwarming holiday story. This episode has it all - snow, carols, and that good old holiday spirit. Christmas is not complete without seeing this episode.

I can't imagine the holiday season without this DVD.
