I bought this GPS six months ago. My wife fought me because it was so much. She said we could just use google maps or mapquest to get where we needed to go. She apologized a week after we got it and admitted it's something we needed to have. The GPS not only tells you turn by turn instructions, it tells you which lane you need to be in for an upcoming turn. This is great on the interstate.
This GPS has a 3.5 inch screen. It plugs into the car to charge. The battery charge does last for a long time. You can choose your address by typing it in. There is also a section that can locate points of interest such as malls, restaurants, museums, churches etc. It will then route you to there.
The trip counter is accurate in the time of arrival, but the mileage isn't always correct on long trips. The other bad thing is the maps are a little outdated by the time you get them. If you live in an area where the roads have been changed, you may have a problem. You can send the unti into Garmin to update the maps, but I think it's expensive.
I did have a problem with my charger, but since I had registered my product, Garmin sent me a new one. They have great customer service.
The price has dropped on these since I boutht it. It is now an even better deal. I'm thinking about giving some as Christmas gifts because I like ours so much. I would highly recommend this GPS.
