Garnier Fructis Style Curl Construct Mousse is a definite problem-solver for people with curly hair. Coupled with a good conditioner, Garnier Fructis mousse helps tame frizz and define curls without the super plastic-y consistency of other styling products.
As the name implies, Garnier Fructis uses apricot, mango, and lemon "micro-waxes" to smooth and hold hair in place. It also has a fabulous citrus fragrance, which lingers after hair dries. I've even gotten compliments on it!
Garnier Fructis Curl Construct Mousse is applied to damp hair; I find it works better when wetter. If you have thick hair and are prone to tangles and frizz, I recommend being generous with the product. I apply it to a paddle brush, which helps with tangles and evenly distributes the product. Don't overdo the application on the top of the head as it can weigh hair down some.
Scrunching the hair frequently as it dries, or using a diffuser, will help eliminate an overly-styled appearance. Air-drying works best, as using a diffuser can add a bit of frizz back into your hair.
The mousse seems inexpensive compared to other brands, but it's also in a narrower, 6.8 oz. bottle. If you have a lot of hair, you'll probably go through the bottles quickly, so I recommend buying them two at a time. It's an annoyance, but the price is low enough that it doesn't feel like too much of a rip-off.
