I stayed in Singapore for 3 months a few years back. My aunt bought me my first supplies and for my shampoo, she got me the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Fortifying Shampoo for color-treated hair. My hair is not color-treated or permed and has not had any chemicals applied to it. Rather I have long flowing straight hair that is sometimes limp.

But I still used the shampoo because that was what she got for me. Beggars can't be choosers. After the first use, I noticed a significant change in my hair. It felt light but volumized. And it looked straighter too. It was not tangled and there are not fly away hairs in different directions. And this happened without my having to blow dry my hair or do anything to it. I am a wash and wear kind of girl in terms of hair.

So I continued using it. For three months that I was in Singapore, this was the only shampoo I used. I did not even use conditioner. In the end, my hair would feel thicker than it actually is, straighter, shinier, more manageable.

When I went back to my country, my friends and family really noticed the improvement in my hair.

Sadly though it is not available where I am so I have to contend with local shampoos. But I would never forget my experience with Garnier Fructis Color Shield Fortifying Shampoo. It was soooo good while it lasted.
