I've tried every moisturizer on the market.
A dermatologist once told me I had "very odd skin." I suffer from horrible dryness and flaking, but over the flaking is a thick layer of oil. So is my skin dry or oily? It's both. Plus I have acne. My face is a mess.
I'd just about given up on finding a decent moisturizer for my "odd skin" because they either made it greasier or sunk in and left it flakier than ever. But I tried the Garnier Nutritioniste line and I'm so thrilled with it! After lightly exfoliating, I apply a thin layer while my skin is still damp. As soon as it sinks in, I apply another thin layer. The flakiness is completely gone, my face is soft and even smoother -- less of those little bumps you get with really dry skin. I do still get oily from time to time, but I know I can just put astringent on my face and then apply a layer of Skin Renew and it's fine.
Another great thing about it is that my makeup goes on smoothly now. I use Bare Minerals and it used to clump up on either the oil on my face or the remnants of my other moisturizers, but it looks flawless now.
The only complaint I have, and it's very minor, is that it has a very strong fragrance -- I think they were going for a fresh, citrusy scent but it's too full of perfume. I can deal with that though, when I consider all its good point. That's the only reason I didn't give this product a full 5 stars.
