This past Christmas season I received, like many people I am sure, a ton of iTunes gift cards. These seem to be the new gifts that you get somebody you don't know what else to get them. Everybody loves music, and its a nice little gift card. Anyway, with these iTunes gift cards I have been splurging them on iTunes Plus music. I really can't stand the DRM that is on the regular iTunes music, so I limit myself to iTunes Plus. That being said, there isn't that much of a choice besides the Beatles solo careers, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones for a classic rock fan like me. The first purchase I made was George Harrison Live In Japan (Remastered) for only $11.99. This is more than a usual album, but you get a total of 19 songs.

With all the CDs I have gotten and purchased recently, nothing touches this CD by George Harrison and Eric Clapton with his band. Eric Clapton went on the tour with him and his band played, but they are all of Harrison's songs and him singing. Some of my most favorite songs are on here, there is just something special about "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)." I find myself singing it all the time, and is one song that can really bring me up and make me smile. I can't put my finger on it, but it is just an inspiring song for me, I hope others have a song like this. Another favorite of mine is "Here Comes The Sun." I use my cell phone as an alarm clock, and I can set it to a certain song and I always, always, always will use "Here Comes the Sun." It is just so calming, soothing and you can just picture a nice spring morning with the sun coming up over the horizon. One of the best songs I have ever heard is "While My Guitar Gently Weeps, " and that is found on here as well and it lasts for over 7 minutes. Overall this is one of the most calming, soothing and refreshing albums I have ever listened too. This is a must buy for George Harrison and Beatles fans.
