This is book number nine in the Morganville Vampire series and I highly recommend that you start from the beginning of the series if you do decide to read these books. The plot of all the books in the series is so tightly woven that it would be VERY difficult to start from anywhere other than book one, called Glass Houses. That being said, this is one of my favourite series' of books and I do recommend them to all fans of vampire books.
The series is about a town, called Morganville, that is run by vampires. It is a slant on this genre that I haven't come across before and it makes Ghost Town a refreshing and enjoyable read. The characters are well drawn out, giving you the feeling that you really know them, and it is very easy to fall in love with them and hope that they overcome all the adversity that is thrown in their direction. Also, due to the author's great writing, it is possible to feel and see everything that Claire, the main character, does which makes you feel as if you are standing right by her side.
Ghost Town is full of action and suspense, taking you on a breath-taking journey from the first page to the last. I couldn't put this book down and the ending was such a cliff-hanger that I can't wait until book number ten is released. I absolutely loved this book!
