I have to start by saying that the Gillette Venus razor (not the disposable) is the best women's razor I've ever used and I don't know why I was surprised that the disposables are almost just as good. Anyone who uses razors that take refill cartridges knows how costly they can be. One day I needed some new blades and my cash supply was on the low side so I decided to try the Gillette Venus disposables. I got a bonus pack of 4 razors (they usually come three to a package) so it was like getting 4 refill blades for a lot less money. The disposables work very well and I have to say I immensly dislike disposable razors. They typically hack your legs up and the blades are usually dull after one shave. Not the case with the Venus though. It has the same head as it's non-disposable counter part so you get the same smooth shave that bends and glides with the curves of your legs. The blades also last for awhile. The blades don't seem to be as long lasting as the refill blades but you could buy multiple packs of the disposables for much less than an 8-pack of blades. They seem to always be on sale and there are coupons for them almost every week in the paper. So while I do still prefer the non-disposable Venus the disposables get 2 thumbs up from me and when funds are low they are an excellent alternative.
