This is a Valentine's Day card I received from my mom a few years back. I have a really hard time parting with cards that are given to me, especially when they are from special people.
On the front, there are nice details, like the silky, ballet pink ribbon and a heart that looks like a faceted gem. The writing at the top says, "With Love From Your Mom, " is written in pretty, fuschia colored, foil writing. That same foil decorates the hot pink heart in the middle of the ribbon. The colors on the card are light pink, medium pink, hot pink, fuschia, purple, lavender, red and dark violet.
There is a meaty pre-printed message inside. It truly sounds like what my mom would say to me. I think she felt it said all she had to say, because she just signed it without adding a word. It cost $3.99. I think this card is good for the occasion because of all the colors, the ribbon and the heart. The style of the card doesn't really fit with who I am, though. It reminds me of what every young girl fantasizes about when she wants to deck out her room. I guess I think it looks too frou-frou and juvenile.
