I love Starbucks coffee but can't afford the "real thing" every day, so I decided to do the next best thing and purchase a Starbucks coffee mug and use that to get my daily caffeine fix. There are a few designs in the store to choose from, usually they're seasonally themed. The travel mug that I selected has all of the Starbucks "lingo" on it in outline type text, and near the bottom it has "STARBUCKS COFFEE" in larger, all capital letters, colored in their trademark green color.

I like the simplistic look of this mug, it's something you can use daily (instead of a Halloween, Christmas or Valentines mug). I'm not sure how many ounces this mug is, but it's pretty tall so I'd assume that it's at least 16oz (two full cups of coffee!). It is insulated, and it does a pretty good job of keeping my coffee warm - it will stay warm from 7:30am when I leave my house up until about 10 or 10:30am when I'm finishing my "cup".

The thing that I really don't like about this mug is the way the lid attaches - it screws on, but it seems like no matter how hard I try, I never get it on straight the first time! Which results in me taking my first drink and getting coffee all down my front...not only is it HOT, but it ruins my outfit. I have started getting smarter about this and taking my first drink over the kitchen sink, or even closing the hole that you drink out of and tipping it over the sink to see if anything comes out, re-screwing it on and trying again...until it's "safe". I've had this mug for many months (over 6 months I'd say) and it's still a problem for me to get the lid on straight the first try, I'd say I'm at about a 75% success rate...but that other 25% is a definite bad start to the day.

I'd pass on buying another Starbucks mug, I'm sure there's a better one out there by another manufacturer.
