I was actually given the Glade Flameless Candle with a refillable Clean Linen Scent cartridge, in exchange for my honest opinion, and to buzz about it to others, whether it be good or bad.
The Glade Flameless Candle is an interesting new product to hit the market, which I was grateful to have recieved, I especially loved that the flameless candle resembled a real candle, and promised to give off a scent like a real candle would...while keeping me and my family safe from actual fire hazards.
The candle works like this:
You screw in the little oil refill; which in this case was a scent called Clean Linen. It goes into a plastic chamber which sits inside of the frosted hollow glass. You then can click the candles plastic chamber with your finger to turn on the 'fake flame'. I found it to be very cool because it actually does flicker like a real candle.
The Clean Linen scent would be slowly released into the air depending on how strong I set the fragrance release to. Of course I set it to high. The more the merrier.
Clean Linen smells like clothing after you wash them. It has a strong fresh airy scent sort of like Downy Original. I liked it, and hoped the scent would stick around.
Within a good hour I was able to smell the scent making its way around the room, but it was very subtle. My boyfriend who came home later didn't even notice that there was 'scent' to the air.
By day 2 I smelled nothing at all. The oil bulb was still very full, and even with the candle set to high power, the scent was just too damn weak for me to bother recommending it to anyone.
-Cool flickering light
-Looks like a real candle
-Scent is too subtle
-Have no clue how to replace the light when it dies.
The Glade Flameless Candle with Clean Linen is not worth the $10.00 they are asking. French Vanilla is a refill scent you can buy for the candle. If you are going to buy this Fameless Candle I recommend this scent because it at least is detectable.
