I've had many magazines subcriptions, but I've renewed very few of them past the first year. I tend to get bored with them rather easily to be quite honest. I don't like reading the same articles over and over, don't like to read about stuff most women will never afford, and don't like to read about vain things ALL the time. I like to read about real world stuff mixed in with the latest fashion trends. This is exactly what Glamour magazine delivers.

Every month they have articles about real women who have real problems. Whether it be a slave ring in a third world country or an American woman struggling with life after being abused for years. It is refreshing to see stories of things that truly do matter. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading about the new Vera Wang line at Kohl's or reading about the latest diet craze, but there's something awesome about being able to balance the superficial things with the serious things. When considering gifts for my girlfriends, I always think of Glamour. It's educated, sexy, sassy, and interesting- just like me.

The celebritites featured on the cover always have an average 3-page interview devoted to them. This has made me like certain celebrities more (Jennifer Garner, America Ferrera) while also making me dislike some celebrities more (Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba). There's something for everyone in this magazine. I am 22 and love it, my mom is 45 and loves it, and my friend who has 4 kids and is 30 loves it also. Pick up this magazine at any newsstand and try it out for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised at what an easy, fun read it can be. Get some coffee while you're at it!
