Glenn Beck and I have something in common. We both LOVE M&M's!!!! All my life they have been my favorite candy. Why??? Because I LOVE chocolate. Their slogan is "They melt in your mouth, not in your hand." But when I was a little girl, lots of times they melted in my sweaty little hands.
Glenn Beck says he is getting fat from all the M&M's he's been eating during his TV show. His producer is begging him to stop. They are teasing him about his double chin. But Beck says they are "Nature's Tranquilizer." I agree-what could be better for stress than chocolate? And the green ones can be substituted for vegetables. (Hey--it works for me!)
Very little has changed about M&M's over the years, except the colors. From time to time, they will introduce new colors. They also offer seasonal colors, like the pastels for Easter time. On their site you can choose a customized order from a selection of 25 colors. You can also have custom messages printed. Actually, after looking at M&M's web site, there are quite a few exciting changes! (Boy, where have I been while all this was going on?) You can even put faces on them now! Or your favorite team! Check out their web site at: http://www.mymms.com/. You really have to see all the possiblities to believe them!
The commercials have gotten cuter and cuter! The characters take on a life of their own. There are even M&M home decor items similar to Disney items.
I love making (and eating) M&M cookies as well. There are many recipes on their web site also.
M&M's have stood the test of time, and will probably be around for many more years to come.
