Good As Walker, Not To Ride On

My daughter received the Playskool Busy Basics Step Start Walk'n Ride when she was first pulling up and trying to walk. We were excited to have a toy for her to practice with but we were always careful to be sure and have close supervision when she played with it. I had heard too many horror stories about walkers and babies!

This toy seems very durable and it is easy to clean as it is made of hard plastic. It is an attractive toy that is decorated in bright colors. There are different "activities" that the child can explore like turning, spinning, opening, etc. This toy converts from a walker to a ride-on toy with a locking mechanism underneath that I feel is very child safe. It would not be easy for a child to change mode by his or herself!

My daughter likes this toy well enough as a walker but has not been very interested in it as a ride-on toy. It is low, which was good for her because she is pretty petite. But the low height makes it seem more difficult for a toddler to scoot forward or backward. My daughter will often just hop on and sit on it for 30 seconds and then move on to something else. If you are looking for a walker, I would recommend it. If you are not so interested in a walking toy, I would tell you to skip it.
