I chose 7th Generation diapers because they're chlorine-free, hypoallergenic, and contain far fewer chemicals than other disposable diapers. This is important to me because I try to be as eco-friendly as possible. It was essential because my little guy has extremely sensitive skin and will break out in a rash if you so much as look at him funny. I even had this problem with a local store's chlorine free line, which also wasn't as soft inside as 7th Gen is.
I've stuck with them because they've worked well for us. We rarely have leaks or blowouts. They reclose fairly easilty.
It's important to note that the sizes run small. For example, my son's been in a size 4, which the package says is 22-37 lbs., since he was probably about 15 lbs. And when he starts to outgrow a size, we start having leaks.
Last but certainly not least, buying them by the case at www.diapers.com makes the cost comparable to more mainstream diapers. You can also get a buck or two off your first order by entering my referal code, LizDMG.
