For the past 4 months I have been taking 2 Sage Capsules twice daily with meals and a large glass of water. Sage is known for being a powerful antioxidant and being a cigarette smoker I figured that this would be a good thing to try.
To my surprise I am finding Sage to be very beneficial. As is an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-hydrotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, anti-viral, aromatic, astringent, carminative, emmenagogue, oestrogenic, relaxant, spasmolytic, and vermifuge.
Sage has helped me the most with my oral care. I have noticed healing in my gums, and wish I had known about this product sooner as it may have helped to prevent gingivitis from the start.
I have also noticed a decrease in my night sweats. Not knowing what provokes night sweats for me I am not sure how the Sage is helping me.
As I notice different changes in my health and body I am planning to switch from capsules to leaves to try Sage as a tea in hopes of gaining more results.
As I have done research on Sage I would like to note to my readers that:
Sage should not be used by pregnant or nursing women or by people who have epileptic fits.
The plant is toxic in excess or when taken for extended periods, though the toxic dose is very large.
Sage should not be used to suppress perspiration in fevers.
So please do your own research and consult with your physician before trying this product.
