I've battled with acne for the better part of the last 10 years. As soon as I became pregnant with my daughter, my skin flared up and I didn't know what to do. When I was a teenager, I'd get the occasional breakout at the onset of my monthly cycle, but pregnancy and the horomones afterwards took a toll on my skin. It was uncontrollable and no products I'd tried worked a miracle or even did anything to my skin. I tried a myriad of products including creams, ointments, antibiotics, toners, lotions, pills....everything. I went to dermatologist and all that got me was a burning sensation in my eyes. I drew the line at Accutane, not wanting to worry about the dangerous side effects. I eventually settled on two cosmetic proceedures, which worked wonders. After the proceedures, I found that I was still having the occasional breakouts as I did in HS and nothing seemed to work. After 15 years of seeing infommercials, print ads, and hearing about how great Proactive was, I decided to try it.
Not wanting to wait for the product to be shipped to me, I found that my local mall had a Proactive kiosk. I purchased the full 3 piece set and took it home, along with my dreams that this was the last stop. As much money as I'd spent on battling acne, $49 was not that much. I used all three products and was thrilled to notice that oiliness had decreased and my pores seemed to shrink within the first week. After using the Proactive products for about one month, I began to notice true results...that my breakouts had just about ceased and my skin was finally healing.
I've been using Proactive for almost a year now and I've wavered between it and more natural products twice. Each time, I've come back to Proactive. I'm positive that Proactive has made a difference in my skin. It hasn't taken away everything, but it has made a substantial improvement.
