When my mom saw this in the Williams-Sonoma catalog, she fell in love with it for the first time. It was like no other bakeware she had ever seen. She loved the ribbed spiral that went around the pan. I agreed, it was definitely special.
I ordered it for her. I wanted to see her face when she got it. At the time, she was especially into baking, so I couldn't wait till she used it for the first time. I anticipated seeing how cakes really looked after being baked in such a mold.
It came so quickly, mind-blowingly so. I remember it coming within one day, possibly two, and I only paid for standard shipping. She was so happy when she opened the box. When she saw it in person and started using it, she fell in love with it again.
All Nordic Ware cookware is made in the USA.The bundt pan is aluminum-cast. Its design was inspired by an old German stoneware mold that was used for baking kugelhopf. It has a 10" diameter and a 4" height. The pan says: 10 cups / 2.4 liters on it. It has a medium-weight. In the center, there is a tube, which allows for thorough heat distribution. The pan comes sprayed with William-Sonoma's premium Goldtouch nonstick coating. My mom says her cakes slide out very easily when cooked in this pan. Her cakes look so fancy and beautiful when she uses it and look just like the mold!
