I was fortunate enough to have spent my last two weeks of 2009 with a vacation in the province. I get to spend more time with my family and friends back at home. The catch is I don’t get to log online most of the time I stayed there. My current subscription with Sun Broadband does not support my internet requirements in the province as it only caters subscriptions in Metro Manila.
So I had to take an option so I could still enjoy the perks of being online most of the time, even if I am in the province. Our house in the province is located near Globe Telecom’s tower and I thought maybe it would be better if we try the services of its newest product – Globe Tattoo Mobile Broadband. It is a prepaid broadband service where we could enjoy surfing the net at the price of Php5.00 per 15 minutes of surfing time. Plus it can connect either thru HSDP, 3G or Globe Wi-Fi and surf the internet up to 2 Mbps.
As expected, I did not experience surfing delays as downloads of web pages are fairly fast and my prepaid load is all worth spending with the allowed time. I continue to enjoy updating my profile status in Facebook and posting and voting reviews here in Shared Reviews.
This product comes with a Huawei modem which is compatible with Windows 2000/XP, Vista and MAC OS v10.4 and v10.5.
Lapis Recommends: For your internet surfing needs in far locations in the Philippines, try Globe Tattoo Mobile Broadband.
