I bought this monitor because we lost the Sony one we used with my 1st baby. Overall the monitor serves it's purpose but they are very light and easy to knock over or pull the cord out.
The base unit is very light and the rubber feet do little to keep it from being knocked over or off the table with the slightest movement. When it is knocked over the charging cable also gets knocked out.
The mobile listening unit is great when you don't need it to be plugged in. (overnight when parents are sleeping) It comes with a clip on the back that you can attach to your pants and walk around knowing you can hear the baby where ever you are in the house.
The mobile listening piece however is not great when you need to plug it in. The protective tab that goes over the point you plug the charging cord into is annoyingly obstructive and sometimes makes it difficult to plug it in. Also if you need to keep this plugged in on your nightstand while your baby is sleeping in another room you need to ensure you cannot bump into it or it will go flying off your nightstand and become unplugged. This happens to me all the time when I'm getting up for night feedings.
Overall this unit works just fine but it's a bit flimsy in my opinion.
I would not recommend this as a first choice to someone having a baby.
