I received the Graco square playard from a friend after my second baby was born. It is an older model, but it still works really well. We used it in our living room to give my youngest a 'safe' place to play, away from his older sister.
This playard is very durable. Our little dozer has plowed has fallen onto the mesh sides of this playard time after time without incident. The bottom is padded so when they fall it is cushioned. The rails are also padded. It is very sturdy, and would be very difficult to make collapse accidentally.
It is folded fairly easily into a relatively small size. All the padding is covered with vinyl, so it is very easily cleaned and disinfected.
This playard is not very portable, although it was not made to be portable.
Overall, if you are looking for something to set up in your house as a place to put your baby while you are cooking dinner or showering, this is a great bet. It is roomy enough so that baby can crawl and play and you can be assured that they will be safe left in there unsupervised for limited periods of time.
