This is one of my favourite stationery bike at the gym for doing my regular workout.
Pros: The bike has very smooth motion and surprisingly quiet. I really hate those noisy machines during workout because when I cycled harder the loud sound will attract lots of glares from my neighbours in the workout room. The machine has varied difficulties and reisitance levels that can be adjusted to suit individual needs. I can monitor my pulse rate by just simply putting my hands on the metal pads during my workout, thus helping me to burn my calories more efficiently.
Cons: Too pricey for me to own one at home. The first few times I rode on it, I need some extra padding on the seat to get used to the soreness because it can be quite harsh to my backside.
Additional notes: The machine belt does become loose after excessive use and the pedals do wear out too. Stationary biking can be dull so it is better to cycle with MP3 or walkman, to enjoy music while burning away calories.
