I just love my new Bissell vacuum cleaner. I wish we would have bought it sooner instead of trying to nurse our old Hoover along for the family room downstairs.
After checking on line recommendations and looking at many vacuums we decided on the Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. We were able to test and run the vacuum at Sears when we stopped in on a whim after just being able to look at vacuums at many other stores. I knew after 30 seconds this was going to be the one. Being able to run the vacuum was a key point in our decision.
12-amp upright - this vacuum has so much suction power in addition to being lightweight and very easy to manuever (this hooked me right away into choosing this vacuum over several other Bissell models we tried).
Bagless - I had enough of emptying dusty bags and always forgetting to have a spare on hand! Now it's very easy to empty and replace the dirt container when needed.
Performance - I can go from vacuuming the carpets, to linoleum, to ceramic tile floors with height adjustments: lowest for bare floors, medium for short or medium length carpet, and high for plush carpet. It has a furniture guard around the bottom of the vacuum, an extra wide cleaning path and dual edge cleaning to make short work of a dreary job. There is a 27 ft. power cord so I can vacuum a much larger area than our previous vacuum. There is a nice long reinforced stretch hose for all the attachments and a wide beam headlight for dark corners.
HEPA-media filter - Important as it filters 99.9% of dust mites, pollen and ragweed. Since we just installed a new furnace and no longer have our dog Sasha (who shed a lot), we should be breathing pretty well with the addition of this hepa filter vacuum.
Attachments - crevice tool to get into really tight corners, upholstery dusting brush, and my favorite the turbo brush. The suction on this is absolutely amazing and the size is much bigger than anything we had before. Along with the wand this turbo brush attaches to, it makes short work of cleaning our couch and chairs.
Warranty: One year
It took about 10 minutes to set up from taking it out of the box to turning on the vacuum. I can't say enough good things about this Bissell vacuum. I'm just glad we didn't spend a lot of money on a more expensive machine that would have done the same. This Bissell delivers a lot of bang for your buck!
