My son received this book as a gift when he was a newborn. It is written by Stephen Holmes, it doesn't say who the illustrator is. This book is fantastic. Each page has a letter on it. The pages are filled with fun colourful illustrations of items that start with that letter. For example, on the "A" page there is an alligator eating and alarm clock, apples, and advaark admiral, an ax, etc. We've used this book to explore animals, letter sounds, words and so much more. It is a super tough board book which my son takes to bed with him every night. Once he's in bed, he flips through the pages on his own! He just loves it!

• Very Sturdy and durable

• Teaches both upper and lower case letters

• Bright illustrations

• Funny conversation starter. I'll ask DS "Would an alligator eat an alarm clock?"He'll always laugh and say noooo! There are many such conversation starters in the book.

No real cons I can think of at the moment.

A fantastic book for kids of all ages. Even my 8 year old enjoys looking at the illustrations, pointing our things that she hasn't noticed before. I highly recommend this book to anyone with young children.
