Before this camera I owned another Kodak camera for many years and it was great. I did need to update my camera, however, and I ended up getting a different camera (not Kodak) and I used it for about a month before I realized I was not satisfied with it overall. Since I had just purchased this camera a month prior, the next camera I got needed to be fairly inexpensive. I then found the Kodak V803 camera and I've had it for a little over a year now with no problems. I get many compliments on how nice it looks, the size of the screen, and the quality of the picture.
What I absolutely love about this camera is its ability to get very close to the subject and still get a very clear picture. I often don't have to use the flash, making the end result a more "natural" looking picture.
The only thing about this camera that I could complain about is the video playback. The video capability is great, with a clear picture, etc. but when you playback a video that you just shot, sometimes you can hear when the camera was focusing as you shot the video. They sound like little clicks and if you're recording something somewhat important it can get a little frustrating.
