Now that it's summertime, I decided that I would probably need something to keep my skin looking fresh and smooth through the hot and humid weather. Walking through the makeup isle, I remembered hearing many good things about mineral makeup and thought I would give it a try.
Now, I'm not the type of person who loves to cake on cosmetics - in fact, on an average day, I don't wear any - so I wasn't exactly sure what to get. Since I have pretty sensitive skin, I finally chose Physicians Formula. As for color, I wasn't exactly sure which one to get since I currently have a bit of a summer tan, but I decided on "Natural Beige". In total, there are about eight colors to choose from, and since the product goes on lightly, they are very blendable. Wearing it for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it looked very natural.
One thing that bothered me, however, was the fact that it seemed to slightly change my skin's texture. I have very smooth skin besides the occasional pimple, and it gave a slightly rougher appearance (for lack of a better description). It may be because of my lack of makeup-applying experience, though. I'm sure if you can put it on lightly and evenly, it will look fantastic. Anyways, it wasn't noticeable unless you really examined, though, and it did it's job in keeping my skin nice-looking all day. Another minor problem is how it is a little difficult to get the powder out and sometimes a bit of it seems to escape into the air. Otherwise, I really like this product.
