I watched Kung Fu Panda 2 in 3D at the theatre. I saw the 3D effects and it did not amaze me. To start off with, I find that the 3D effects really need some work. I experienced the 3D effect only in some of the fighting parts. I think the fighting parts are suitable for children to watch. I really don't think that it is something kids will try it at home or anything like that. During some of the fighting parts, a spear or a blade will come right out of the screen. However, it does not occur a lot so for most of the movie, I'm watching a 2D movie with 3D glasses on.

In terms or the story, I think that the film is pretty well made. I'm not going to talk too much about the film and what happened as I do not want to give it away. However, the story is simple enough for kids to understand. I think the viewers of this film are more interested in seeing the 3D effects than what the film actually has to offer. It was well made and definitely worth seeing. I find the ending a bit more emotional as it talks about Po's (Panda) family. The film has some comedy in it. There are a few funny moments where the viewers laugh. These funny moments usually occur when one of the characters say something stupid.

I was pretty surprised to hear Jackie Chan's voice in the film. After listening carefully, I recognized Jackie Chan's, Angelina Jolie's and Jack Black's voices. None of these actors made any appearance of course as this is a cartoon. I think everything is done pretty well in terms of the voicing. There are some voices i did not recognize, but you can search them up on your own time.

During the movie, I sat in the back so that is one of the disadvantages. For a 3D movie, I suggest sitting up in the front. In Kung Fu Panda 2, there are some moments where a spear comes right out of the screen giving a realistic effect. I find that you can get a better experience by sitting in the front and not in the back. DreamWorks has done it again and impressed me. What I didn't like is that the movie gets a little crazy at the end. There are a lot of flashy colors, fireworks, and stuff like that. It doesn't really match up with the moods of the characters'. It was pretty well made and I definitely suggest you watch it.
