We've been in the market for a stereo system to play music from my husband's iPod. We were searching high and low for the best one out there that we could afford. We saw many under $100 or even in the $100 price range. Of course, they were always displayed by the Bose Sounddocks which blew them all away. I don't know if it is just how they are all displayed in the stores, but truly nothing could surpass them in sound quality that was displayed near them. And I suppose none of them should, as it costs a few hundred more than most.

We chose the newer Bose Sounddock model which is portable. It has an internal battery that charges while plugged in to the outlet. Your iPod will also charge while it is docked on the Sounddock and it is plugged in. This Sounddock can then be taken wherever you want to listen to music. The dock itself rotates into the speakers, as to protect it while moving. It comes with a remote to turn on/off, control volume, select music, etc. There is also a volume control on the side of the Sounddock and you can choose music manually on the iPod itself.

We've been very happy with this purchase and we are glad we spent the extra money as it is worth it. We have found other iPod stereo systems that sound great but cost even more than this one. So, if you can afford a Bose, I think you will be happy with this purchase and with the quality of sound you achieve with it.
