This is a great point and shoot camera for someone who isn't a big expert on photography, but still just wants to take a few pictures.
I purchased the Kodak EasyShare M381 over Christmas vacation at Shopko mainly because of the 12 megapixel resolution and the price - around $120. It was easy to get ready as soon as I opened the box, and I was already taking pictures on the car ride home.
The camera boasts plenty of different settings that will make any setting or subject come out very nicely. Other than just having an auto-focus and flash features, it also has settings like sport, text, candle light, children, beach, snow and fireworks to optimize the picture for you. The Kodak EasyShare M381 makes it easy to just enjoy the moment and not worry so much about getting your picture just perfect.
The camera also has a 12 megapixel resolution, but it can be turned down farther than that, so the pictures are big and nice quality. The only downside with that is the fact that the pictures then take up a lot of the internal memory and it's pretty much necessary to buy a microSD card for the camera. A 2GB microSD card holds over 500 12 megapixel photos, though.
The camera holds a charage for days and it's very easy to transfer the photos from camera to computer.
