I had purchased a walmart brand home theater system a few years ago when the last one I had went out at about $60.00. It lasted a while and finally went out a couple of months ago. Since then, much like when I purchased my Blu-Ray player, I searched the Internet far & wide to find the best system for a price I could live with. Of course I found some fantastic systems but the price was a bit too steep for me at this moment.
So I decided on the HTD-DW790 from Sony. It had very good reviews and at around $150.00 seemed like a great buy. So I found one on Amazon.com. I got it in last week and was all too excited to get it hooked up. I was extremely pleased from the moment I turned it on. The setup is of course different the cheaper model I used to have, however the sound is far superior. The only drawback, which I did not realize beforehand is that there are not enough audio inputs/outputs but I made it work.
The bottom line is that if you are looking for a surround sound to compliment your tv/dvd, etc. setup that fits most budgets, this is definitely one to look at.
