I just love this sweater. It is helping me a lot now that the weather has cooled considerably. It is made from 100% cotton which I am always pleased to see. Cotton is just one of those natural, affordable fibers that my skin always gets along with.
This is so easy to care for. It is machine washable in warm water in the gentle cycle with like colors only. It should be dried on tumble dry low and removed promptly, so no shrinking occurs. I'm so glad this isn't dry clean only.
Of course, I love that I received this in the color "29 New Black." It is versatile and can be matched with many pieces of my clothing. The cardigan is soft to the touch, but I wouldn't call it silky. It has more of a hardy, sturdy feel to it.
I love the big, black and white, marbelized buttons. Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a thing for buttons. I think it has to do with the past, when I would sit in my grandma's cluttered sewing room with her. While she sewed, I would explore through her packed-to-the-hilt supply boxes. She always had the most interesting buttons and odds-and-ends, so I always notice things like that. Sure, I will wear clothes that have plain, nondescript closures, but I feel that buttons can show real personality, be unique and make a real difference.
I really recommend this top for layering. It is perfect for fall and is great for staying cozy. I got this as a gift. The price on the tag is blacked out with ink, but what the price looks like is $69.00.
