We just got back from a short family vacation at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason Ohio. It was me, my husband, our daughter age 4, son age 7, and son age 8. We arrived right at 1:00, the early check in time, and I very happy to find out our room was ready for us. Check in was smooth even though the line was a little long. We got our room location and our wrist bands and off we went to find our room. The direction we were given were wonderful and we found our room right away. We got a kid cabin suite which included a queen size bed, pull out sofa, fireplace, fridge, microware, tv, and the kids "room" included a bunk bed, daybed, and tv. The kids' room did not have a door on it but it was nice for them to have their own space. We also had a private balcony that faced the parking lot. I am not sure why they include balcony's because the locations are always by major roads and there is not much to look at. We explored the hotel room for a min and the kids were ready to hit the waterpark. The hotel map did not say where the waterpark was so we had to ask someone what floor it was located on. Once we knew what floor it was on the waterpark was easy to find. My husband took the boys to ride the big waterslides and I stayed with our daughter so she could ride the slides her size. She had a blast. There were 5 slides she could play on plus a water fort. She also loved the wave pool. My boys loved all of the waterslides and the wave pool as well. We went for 3 hours and then took a break for dinner. This was our first time at an indoor water park hotel and we did not realize how expensive the food would be. My best advise is eat off property or bring a cooler full of food. The food was not great and very expensive. After our high priced meal we went back to the water park for another couple of hours. We all had a good nights rest and check out was easy. There was other entertainment in the hotel but we were too busy playing in the waterpark to do any of it. We would go back again but I would not eat at the hotel and I might add another day.
