This tuner is the first one I've ever received and the only one I plan on receiving or buying. It's overall a great tuner. It's very easy to use. All you have to do is push the power button and it turns on (it does require two double As). You can either lay it on top of your guitar and pluck strings to tune them or, for a better tone pickup, you can plug it into the tuner. The tuner has an input on each side of it. It tells you whether you're string is too flat or too sharp by blinking a red light right by the names. Then, when it's in tune there will be a solid green light that it displays. Also, if it is having trouble determining the tone of a string, then there's the calibrate button. You can just push that and select which string you are trying to get in tune. On the tuner it displays whether the tone is one of the following: E, A, D, G, B, or e. The only thing that I can really say negative about it is that it sometimes can be a pain if it's not picking up the right tone.
