Halo 3 is the most hyped up Xbox 360 video game of the year and it actually happens to live up to the hype. The game is the conclusion of one of the most popular gaming trilogies ever made. I was never really into Halo 1 or 2 but I'm glad I purchased the third installment to the series.
The graphics in Halo 3 are quite amazing but could have been a bit better. The sound quality is excellent, and the music is very fitting. The story-line is interesting although there are parts where the story doesn't make very much sense.
Halo 3 has quiet a bit of replay value. I've played through the game three times since it came out; twice with my roommate on the two hardest difficulty settings and once by myself. The variety of challenges that the game includes, like collecting skulls and the campaign meta-scoring mode, is also a nice touch.
The best part about Halo 3 is being able to play it with other people; the game supports up to 4 people playing the campaign mode online or two people playing locally with a split-screen. It's also fun to play 4 player battles with friends or play with up to 16 people online in a variety of modes that are fun and exciting. If I'm looking for a quick game to play I can turn on my 360 and be playing Halo 3 "Lone Wolf" mode, which is a free-for-all battle with other people online, within minutes. I'll definitely be playing Halo 3 online for months to come; the action is intense and the competition is fierce.
