As someone who hates to cook, a slow cooker is a blessing. I can put everything in it in the morning and forget about it until I'm ready to eat. However, I've owned several slow cookers/crock pots over the years and most were either a real pain to clean or burnt the food. I learned that if I wanted to use it, I had to keep an eye on it to prevent burning. Recently, I heard about a 3-in1 cooker that has various size bowls for cooking. The reviews I heard were promising, but I was skeptical. After one last burnt meal from my old cooker, I ordered the 3-in-1. It has a base unit that holds 3 different size pots... 2, 4 and 6 quart size. It was available in all white bowls or 3 different earth tone colors, which I chose. The bowls stack inside each other and all fit into the base at once when not in use. There is one lid that fits all 3 bowls. Hallelujah!!! I decided to test it by making chili, a simple dish I make often. No burning!
When you use this cooker, you decide which size bowl you need for that particular meal. There are just 2 of us, so I usually use the 4 quart (medium) size. Occasionally, I make something that is better for the 2 quart size. I have not yet used the 6 quart, but am happy to have it for large family dinners in the future. Each bowl is sturdy and easy to handle. They easily go from cooker to table. Cleaning is simple. My only complaint is the weight of the bowls. Individually they are fine, but when lifting all 3 at once, they are heavy. (I guess the simple solution is to lift one at a time!) There are 3 buttons to choose from on the base to tell the unit which size bowl you are using so that it cooks properly. It also has a warmer, which I use often. I've made several different meals in 2 size dishes and have been happy with the results each time.
