My brother-in-law picked up a copy of Hancock and my husband and I watched it last night. I honestly was disappointed with this movie. It stars Will Smith and Charlize Theron, and Will Smith plays the part of a superhero with a super bad attitude. He helps people but does it in such a way that people end up hating him.
I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it and wants to, suffice it to say that I just didn't care for it. My husband didn't like it either. I thought the plot was weak and left something to be desired, I thought the role that Will Smith played was not the best for him, and the ending left me feeling that there were loose ends. I really didn't feel any closure.
The DVD has an assortment of special features, runs approximately 102 minutes, and is actually unrated. I'm sure Hancock will have a lot of fans out there, it just depends on your taste. I didn't particularly care for the movie, nor my husband, but this is something you would have to watch and judge for yourself. For me, I just couldn't get into it at all.
