Hummingbirds are fascinating to watch and almost everyone I know has at least one hummingbird feeder at their home. Conversations often revolve around who has seen the most hummingbirds recently and whether to use store-bought feeder or mix your own.
I bought this Parasol Bouquet Hummingbird Feeder a few years ago. It caught my attention as it was so much prettier than the typical red plastic type that we already had and that are the most common. My old one was was faded and ugly, though the hummingbirds still came every year.
Made entirely of hand blown glass, this feeder has three feeding ports with the feeding vessels a gorgeous blue color and the feeding tubes a vibrant red. They are supported by a black metal frame and has a large hook for hanging. Each vessel holds 3 1/2 oz. of nectar. The colors are so vivid that I can see the feeder from far away.
After buying this one, went back and bought one for my father. It had clear glass and red feeding tubes. I preferred the blue glass, but the clear was all that was available and my father didn't care about the color. All he cared about was having hummingbirds at his house.
I love this feeder and look forward to putting it out each year. The quality is excellent and it remains pretty from year to year. Unfortunately, my husband insists on keeping the old faded one also and they both draw plenty of birds to keep us entertained each summer.
