Working in the kitchen is one of my least favorite things to do. Whether it's cooking or cleaning, I don't enjoy it. So, I look for any little thing I can find to brighten my time in the there.

A local gift shop carried these bottles. They come in a wide range of sizes, colors and designs, with everything from soap or hand lotion bottles to bottles that could hold olive oil. You can just use your imagination with these. Some were decorated with flamingos, others with red peppers, flowers and just about anything you can think of. One had pink lips all over it, which looked perfect for a teenage girl. The shapes varied from very tall and thin, to short and round. There were several different tops too, including pumps. I happen to love ivy and there is ivy in my kitchen, so this bottle was perfect for me.

Each bottle is hand painted by the artist, who signs and dates every bottle. Her workmanship is wonderful. The glass is strong so it doesn't break easily. The artist was located in Framingham, MA, but unfortunately, I don't recall her name and the signature on the bottle isn't clear.

I bought this particular bottle for holding dishwashing soap. The stopper easily lifts out and it holds enough to keep me going for weeks before it needs to be refilled. The soap pours out slowly, but not so slow as to make you wait. It's perfect for getting exactly what you want without waste.

After buying my bottle and realizing how much it brightened the sink area, I wanted more for other rooms. But unfortunately, the store went out of business and I haven't seen these anywhere else.
