I have a lot of problems with ill-fitting underwear, especially as my weight fluctuates. Most of my weight goes to my hips and thighs, so if I gain weight, suddenly my underwear is cutting into me. I especially have problems on the seams of regular underwear that go right between my legs - I find that they cut painfully into my thighs and leae large red marks, especially after sleeping in them. I also have a lot of problems with stretch fabrics, as I can't 'breathe' as easily, and when I shave, things tend to get caught in the fabric after a few days, if you know what I mean!
Someone suggested that I try boy-shorts, and so next time I made the trek to Target, I decided to pick up a pair. I settled on Hanes 100% Cotton boy-shorts, that come 3 to a pack. They come in very colourful designs, though they also have plain black, white, and tan versions. The sizing is a bit odd - in pants size, I'm usually a 10-12. However, they have 8 as an "XL" size, so that can throw you a bit at first.
The fit is pretty good - because they come down over my thighs instead of fitting like regular briefs, they give my inner thighs a lot of relief. The only thing I don't like is the tendency of the bottoms of them to roll up if I pull on my pants, but I suppose that's unavoidable. The colours are adorable, and the material is super soft. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a comfy fit!
