“Happy Feet” is a really funny movie that our whole house (wife and I included) dancing all over the place. Robin Williams brings his own brand of talent and humor to this movie. It does have a serious side, as the concept of our global environment is brought out for some discussion. We used this as a springboard for discussion in our home.
Keep in mind this movie is rated PG for mild peril and rude humor. I watched it with our seven and five year old, and they really didn’t catch the humor. It is sexual in nature, so caution would be a good watchword with younger teenagers who are getting into that scene.
Overall a great movie with good bonus features, including one classic cartoon jewel that you won’t soon forget. The clip is called "I Like To Singa" and is actually one of my wife's favorite cartoon clips of all time. This movie has met with widespread acclaim, and I’m okay with that - just remember it is PG, and therefore it’s the parents responsibility to educate and steer the youngsters in the right direction.
I give “Happy Feet” and Warner Home Video a B+. The movie was great, but thier marketing of a PG rated movie to a young audience is a deterrent from family values for me and my wife.
