After the cat brought in a load of fleas to our house, we had to get rid of them fast. After treating the cat, we chose to spray the rug and furniture upholstery to kill the fleas and their eggs. The Hartz Control Flea and Tick Killer was our first choice. Hartz is a trusted brand.
The product, conveniently packaged in a silver spray bottle, included easy instructions for use on the back label. Plenty of safety warnings were prominently displayed. Spraying the Flea and Tick Killer on the rug was simple - the spray nozzle worked without sticking or clogging. The smell of the product was horrible, but that is to be expected from a bug spray.
After returning to the house some hours later, the rug and upholstery was perfectly dry. The smell still lingered, but was much reduced. The best part was that there was no fleas anywhere. The bottle says that the product protects the home from fleas for up to 210 days. However, we found it necessary to spray again within one month. After the second application, however, our home was completely flea free.
