This is such an amazing bar. I ate a whole entire one all by myself yesterday. Yep, a whole 540 calories, 30 grams of fat... Woooooooo, but wow, was it worth it! Not only is this decadent candy bar delicious, but it also is fair trade certified. Divine chocolate is made only with Fair Trade cocoa beans from Kuapa Kokoo. Kuapa Kokoo is a cooperative of farmers in Ghana. I like to know a little more about the food I'm eating. To me, it's not a requirement, I will eat things that are not fair trade, but it's something that I appreciate and hold in high regard. When products are Fair Trade Certified, it means that the farmers that helped harvest the chocolate get paid a guaranteed fair price. The farmers work in fair labor conditions. Another Fair Trade principle that is very important to me is environmental sustainability. Harmful agrochemicals and GMOs are not used while sustainable farming methods protect the farmers’ health and also preserve the land they work on. The bar was imported from Germany. It was so creamy and yummy. There were lots of little pieces of strawberries in it. Once I started eating it, I couldn't stop. It was THAT good. It was really amazing white chocolate. I really recommend this bar if you want to indulge with something high quality.
I bought this on Planet One Gifts with a gift certificate. It retails for $4.29 a 3.5 oz. bar.
