Ever since I started curling my hair, which was about two years ago, I had been using this black & gold curling iron I found in my mom's bathroom. I never thought anything of it, a curling iron is a curling iron, right? Wrong. About a month ago, I lost said curling iron, & bought a twenty dollar Conair replacement from WalMart. BAD IDEA. After curling my hair in the morning, maybe an hour or hour and a half would go by until my hair looked completely flat & curl-free. I found out that the kind of curling iron I had been using was made by the brand Helen of Troy. I checked online to see where I could find one, & it turned out that they could be bought at Sally's or any other professional beauty supply store, so I went to check it out. The first thing that I noticed was the variety of products availible by this company- Helen of Troy makes a lot of hair styling products, not just curling irons. But there was even a lot of variety in the curling iron area, too. There were lots of different sizes (from 1/4 of an inch curl to 2 inch curl & so on) so I'm sure that you could find a great curling iron no matter what your curl preferences may be. The curling iron itself looks a lot more professional than something you would buy at a regular groccery store, because it is. There are different heat settings so you can use it on thin hair, thick hair, etc. With a little bit of hairspray, my hair stays bouncy & curly all day long. I LOVE this curling iron. Also, the one that belonged to my mom that I had been using had been in our house for almost 5 years! Talk about durability. Honestly, I don't think i'll ever have a need to buy another one.
