Of the big Amusement Parks on the East Coast Hershey Park gets my vote as the most well rounded park. It has something for everyone. It is a great family destination since there are rides that are great for the wee ones as well as for the big ones. It is located in Hershey, Pennsyvania about 2 1/2 hours from Washington, DC. Close enough for a day trip or make a weekend out of it since Hershey has some of the nicest resort/ hotels that I have been too. In the park you will find roller coaster and kiddie rides along with all new this past year their very own water park. At Hershey Park the theme is Chocolate, everyone's favorite candy. Here you will find the food is themed around this chocolate delight. The also have other foods like concession style and also new this year a boardwalk themed food court. They have the famous boardwalk fries that are awesome. They also have a tour that you can take through the Hershey factory to see how the wonderful candy is made. At the end of your tour there are even samples given out for you to try. Hershey Park also has the American Zoo on it's property that you can go through and the kids absolutely love this attraction. Hershey Park is a great destinations for families of all ages. I have been going to Hershey Park since I was a teenager and this year I even took my family. My daughter who was 3 at the time had a blast. This park also gets my vote for the most reasonable priced. For $49 for adults and $27 for kids 3-8 years old. This is a great experiene. You can also go into the park 3 hours before closing and get the next day too for the same price as the single day admission. If you have a family take them to Hershey Park they will love it.
